Most Veer-myn warlords use thralls only sparingly, their broken slaves too weak or unreliable for battle. The Volt Chasers, however, have weaponised them. Outwardly the same ragged wretches seen in other nests, these captives conceal a grim secret: crude voltaic implants rammed into their spines by the Technorati. At the flicker of hesitation, the device delivers a convulsive surge that drives them forward—or kills them outright. With this brutal innovation, the Volt Chasers can unleash thralls in vast numbers, hurling them into combat as secure in the knowledge that even the most treacherous captive will fight—or die—exactly where the cult demands.
