The Piper

Sleeker and more cunning than most of his kind, the Veer-myn known as the Piper strides into battle with eerie confidence. At his command, swarms of vermin pour from vents and ducts, overwhelming troopers in a tide of claws and teeth. These creatures cling to him like a living shield, absorbing blows and gunfire before surging forward to tear into his attackers. Sighted across conflicts separated by thousands of light years, the Piper’s appearances suggest that Veer-myn nests may share knowledge — or even coordinate — over vast distances. To the GCPS, his name is drawn from an Old Earth legend, but on the battlefield, his tale is all too real.
