1/600 Union decoy “ironclad” Black Terror
A model representing the decoy “ironclad” dubbed the Black Terror. It was built on a coal barge to resemble a Union ironclad and used to confuse the Confederate forces salvaging the USS Indianola at Davis Bend in February 1863. The ruse worked and Indianola was abandoned.
