Lieh Lung was born into a low‑ranked household on the Empire’s eastern frontier. His fate changed when an examiner from the Imperial Register came to assess the Yan of his village for service. During the visit, ninja from the nearby Shogunate attacked, their spectral aura sending others fleeing—and yet Lieh Lung charged into the fight. Once the dust settled, the impressed official immediately assigned him to a martial monastery.
